General Rental Terms and Conditions (CGL)

1. Driver Profile and Requirements

To rent and drive a vehicle from the diRENT fleet in Morocco, the main driver and any additional driver declared on the contract must meet the following administrative requirements:

Minimum age: Must be at least 21 years old for City and Economy categories (25 years old for Luxury Sedans and SUVs).
Driving License Validity: Holder of a valid driving license for more than 1 full year.
Additional Driver: Any additional driver must present the same original supporting documents when signing the agreement.

2. Security Deposit & Guarantee (BASIC Package)

Upon vehicle pickup at the agency, a bank pre-authorization (credit card hold) is mandatory in the main driver's name.

This security deposit covers any damages not covered by basic insurance, missing fuel upon return, unpaid extension days, and contractual deductible.

3. Mandatory Supporting Documents

The following official documents must be presented at the branch as valid physical originals:

1. Identity Document

Moroccan National ID (CIN) for residents or valid passport for non-residents.

2. Driving License

Valid driving license of more than 1 year (International driving permit if required for non-residents).

3. Credit Card

Bank card in the exact first and last name of the main driver (Visa / Mastercard).

4. Payment & Settlement Terms

The total rental amount is paid upon departure at the agency or online via our secure credit card platform. Cash payments are also accepted according to legal rules and limits in force in Morocco.

5. Vehicle Usage & Authorized Territory

The vehicle is exclusively authorized to be driven on paved roads within Moroccan territory. Subleasing, transport of hazardous goods, and driving on unpaved tracks (except for approved 4x4 vehicles) are strictly prohibited.

6. Insurance, Deductibles & Protection Extensions

All our vehicles automatically include basic third-party liability insurance (CDW) and 24/7 breakdown assistance. You can subscribe to our optional deductible waiver packages to drive with total peace of mind:

7. Vehicle Return & Fuel

Vehicle delivery and return at any time. The vehicle must be returned on the date, time, and agency agreed in the contract. The fuel level upon return must match the initial level recorded at departure (Same-to-Same rule).
